Cody Erikson, Executive Director
Cody Erikson is a senior service professional with over 18 years of experience spanning many different areas of community operations. Cody began working in the dining department of an independent living community while attending college. He graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in business administration. He holds dual licensure from the State of Oklahoma in Residential Care/Assisted Living and Nursing Home Administration. A strong advocate for seniors, Cody has based his career philosophy on excellent customer service. He fully embraces the Personal Touch Culture that Legacy Retirement Communities promotes in each of it's communities and looks forward to instilling that same culture here at Legacy Village of Stillwater. Cody and his wife, Joni, moved to Stillwater soon after their marriage. They have a five year old son, Jax, who ensures that there is never a dull moment in their home. When not at work, Cody can usually be found cooking, working on remodeling projects, woodworking or spending quality time with family and friends.
Emily James, Marketing Director
Emily fell in love with Stillwater while attending Oklahoma State University where she studied social work and religious studies, earning her bachelor’s degree in child and family services. During her senior year, she met Reed James and was immediately smitten. The two were married soon after. Together, their studies took them to the east coast where they lived in North Carolina and Massachusetts. Upon Reed’s graduation from seminary, the couple returned to Stillwater. Emily worked for OSU as the Academic Coordinator for Upward Bound in the division of Institutional Diversity before joining her husband in ministry when they began pastoring their own church in Stillwater. Emily and her husband have two daughters—Piper and Reese. Emily enjoys golfing, traveling and scuba diving. A self-proclaimed epicurean, she enjoys many different types of cuisine and trying new foods. Emily’s energetic and charismatic personality are vital to the Legacy Village team. She enjoys hosting community visits and helping future residents select the perfect suite for them.
Kristi Lester, Assisted Living Director
Kristi Lester has served as a healthcare professional for over 15 years. She has a degree in health promotions from Oklahoma State University-Stillwater. Kristi is passionate about service and advocating for the needs of those around her or in her care. Her ambition, energy, relationship building and leadership skills have allowed her the opportunity to leave a positive lasting impact on communities, individuals, employees and families. Kristi and her husband, Titus, have three girls and one boy. They enjoy softball games, basketball games, learning to ride bikes, building LEGO’s and church functions. Kristi enjoys spending intentional one on one time together with friends and family creating special memories. She looks forward to extending that same mindset in her role at Legacy Village of Stillwater.
Jennifer Waters, Resident Services Director
Jennifer has always been close to her grandmother, so it was no surprise to her that she found herself drawn toward senior adults. Her passion for this population further developed in her previous work with a local home health agency. When she saw an opportunity to join the Legacy Village team and work with senior adults full time, it seemed like a natural fit. Though she was born in Oklahoma, Jennifer spent much of her childhood in Oregon where her family moved for her mother’s career. She returned to Oklahoma to attend Oklahoma State University where she majored in accounting. A country girl at heart, Jennifer enjoys spending time riding horses and honing her skills of cutting and sorting. In 2012, she went to the RSNC World Finals and placed 11th in the sorting class. Jennifer has also introduced the art of horsemanship to her three children, Abby, Caden and Wyatt. Jennifer, her husband Leonard, and her children enjoy spending time together outdoors.
Chris Stettnisch, Dining Services Director
Chris was introduced to the world of culinary arts at the age of 14 while working at his parent’s restaurant in his hometown of Blackwell, OK. After High School, Chris spent four years serving his country in the US Coast Guard and utilizing the G.I. Bill to attend a culinary school. After completing an American Culinary Federation Apprenticeship program in Missouri, his culinary training and experience led him to work in hotels, country clubs and college campuses. In 2015, Chris began work in a senior living community and fell in love with serving seniors. He especially enjoys spending a few extra moments with fellow veterans and hearing their stories. Chris has been married for over 25 years to his wife Regina. They have three children; Lauren, Molly and son, Joel. Chris enjoys spending time with his family fishing, going to Oklahoma sporting events or picnicking.
Baileigh Mansfield, Recreation Director
Baleigh graduated from Oklahoma State with a bachelor’s of science degree in psychology. While attending school at OSU, she worked for a local assisted living community. There she served as a nurse’s aide for two years and an activity coordinator for one year. This is when she found her passion for serving and advocating for senior adults. In 2016, she was nominated by a resident and won the OSU Student Employee of the Year award while working as the activity coordinator. After graduation from OSU, Baleigh attended Tulsa Community College, where she received her occupational therapy assistant certification. Baleigh and her college sweetheart, Kevin, married in 2019. They enjoy spending time with their fur babies-Felix and Ellie. Baleigh also enjoys cooking, running, traveling, trying new foods and drinks; as well as spending quality time with family and friends. Baleigh’s enthusiastic, compassionate and adventurous personality are characteristics that are of utmost benefit to Legacy Village of Stillwater.
Daryl Horstman, Director of Maintenance
Daryl is detail oriented and passionate about keeping Legacy Village of Stillwater functioning properly. He has always worked in a customer service role. He is willing to go the extra mile to ensure our residents are pleased and comfortable. As a mechanical contractor, he can also troubleshoot and repair many types of equipment, which makes him a valued team member at Legacy Village. Prior to joining Legacy Village, Daryl worked in facilities management at Oklahoma State University while also operating his own company. Daryl and his wife Shandi were married in Stillwater, moved away for a few years, but never stopped dreaming of moving back and raising a family here. When Daryl is not working, he can be found spending time with his wife and daughters. He is an outdoor enthusiast and is always looking for the next adventure.
